Getting Permission from Microsoft

Guest

I am a teacher and i would like to post cbt's on office and xp etc on a
website for students or anyone else to use for free. They will promote the
products without using logo's or trademarks. I contacted micosoft and they
said it was ok to use in this manner as long as i don't use trademarks.

The site will be strictly for microsoft products and promote it in every
positive way.
I will also promote using microsoft books to aid in the site material.

I am ready to post but i want to make sure i don't need any special
permission or license before i do.

My goal is to help as many people as i can use the products who may not be
able to afford training.

I just want to make sure that i am able to post these cbt's without any
special permission or license.

1. You say you have permission from MS.
2. You say your web site will post solely on MS-linked topics.
3. What other source could possibly own copyrighted information
in which you have an interest?

Thank you for responding. Right before i was ready to post, i was told by an
attorney that certain parts what i might use ..such as themes, clipart, fonts
etc. have copyrights that are not owned by microsoft.

Just because you have permission it may not extend to all areas. I wasn't
sure about this part so i wanted to check.

Thank you for you post. I would rather double check this to be sure than to
find out later that this was true.

Once again, thanks.

Thank you for responding. I was familiar that is was a peer-to-peer but
sometimes others have gone down the same road as you and they can be very
helpful.

I teach in the inner city and often times i have students who can't afford
books, or courses etc. so i'm trying to find a way to reach them.

I'm sure someone out there has done something similar and i'm hoping that
maybe they could led me in the right direction.

Again, thank you for your post.
