Getting message Office Versions don't match. Is this a problem?

Installed Office 2007. Had pervious version 2003.
Shouldn't 2003 be gone from the system?
I'm getting the "subject" message every time I start p Excel, Word,
Publisher, etc.
How do I make it go away. I have Checked each Office 2007 version and its
correct, i.e., indicates 2007.

2003 is gone if you let the installation remove it.

What is the *exact* wording of the message you are seeing?
