Hi:

I would like some help with security. I was
turning off my computer when a message came up advising
me another user was connected and terming the session
would interrupt the connection. I turned it off.
I have no other users. What is possibility my pc was
accessed by unknown person? How can I tell what was
done while accessed? How do I prevent? I am
using firewall option with XP Pro.

Thanks,
Dave

It is highly likely that someone else is accessing your PC. I'm no pro but i
know enough to the point that i have installed another firewall program and
a router on my network. The standard xp firewall only works against incoming
packets of data. Chances are that u have a whole in your firewall (like
remote access) or you have a virus or trojan somewhere on your system. My
suggestion is either buy a commercial firewall or get a freeware version
like zone alarm and buy a router for good measure. Try also running a
spyware removal program like "Spybot: search and destroy". Hope this helps.
Good luck

Do you have any other computers in your house that could have been accessing
any shared files on your computer?
