getting error when trying to update spyware definations

getting 0x8024400a error and the program will not connect or update def
files. This is occuring right after i installed it.

MS Updates had been working fine however you gave me a place to look. What
Microsoft failed to tell everyone is that you needed to have the lastest 3.1
installer on your system beforehand. So after upgrading Windows Defender
updated properly.
