Well Home and Student doesn't contain an email client, so you need to be FAR
more specific on your problem.
 
Use Windows Live Mail (type it into Google) and be careful to only install
the options that you want. Also, avoid the Windows Live Office add-in: if it
gets installed, uninstall through Program Control.
