Getting double email messages

I have my mail account set up both on Vista Windows Mail and Windows 2000
Microsoft Outlook. The outlook account is only getting one input per email.
The Vista account just started getting double emails in the past couple of
weeks. There was no change to either email account setup.

I am using POP3 as input.

I tried deleting and recreating the account, with no change.

Any ideas?

Unfortunately, I checked that before I posted. Only one account for me and
one for my husband - different names.

I just checked again and while my husband had a separate account, my email
account was embedded in his. I think this is the answer.

That would do it if they're set up as a main account and an alias account
for it. Many email providers prefer to give you alias accounts when you
ask for a second or later account for the same family. If that's the
problem,
you only need one of these accounts entered under Windows Mail.
