Getting cookies to stick in IE7 in Vista

Can anyone let me know how to make cookies stay in IE7 in Windows Vista
Beta? I successfully imported the cookies from a saved file. For some reason
the now-hidden cookies folder empties itself every time IE is shut down.

I just wanted to save the layout setting of certain sites.

Regards and thanks.

Have you checked your cookie settings in Tools | Internet Options | Privacy?
Mine has the default settings and doesn't delete cookies.

Try if it works without that import. I think your subject is much too general.
You don#t seem to have a problem with "cookies sticking2 but with a few cookies
you imported (which I haven't tried yet).

Thanks for the responses. I found I do not have this issue with two other
Vista test installs here. Actually there are quite a few other little errors
in this install that are not in the others.

I am shortly going to format the drive and reinstall.

Regards and thanks again.
