getting back deleted stuff that is not in the recycle bin

Hi
A user id and all their stuff has been deleted from my computer, I tried
system restore but it came up as incomplete ( i will try another date). I
have been into my recycle bin and it would seem that that has been emptied
recently aswell is there any way of getting the deleted item back?
Also how do you check who has been where on the internet on my p.c even if
another user and how far back can you go?

A big thank you to any that may be able to help

This may be a moot point now, but in the future when you delete something or
empty your Recycle Bin and want to recover something from it... Stop using
the computer now. Your recovery chances are better if the file has not been
overwritten.

This is free.

Restoration Version 2.5.14 Author: Brian Kato
http://www3.telus.net/mikebike/RESTORATION.html

Description
[[Restore files which are deleted from the recycle bin or deleted while
holding down the Shift key by mistake. Conversely, this program has another
function that makes it almost impossible to restore all deleted files. You
can use it after deletion of confidential documents, embarrassing files and
so on.]]

You might want to download this with a friend's machine and save it to a
floppy. Restoration will run fine from a floppy, that's how I run it.

Unfortunately, System Restore recovers system files and settings only. It
does not monitor a user's data files. See Wesley's post for recovery
options.
