How do I turn off the getpivotdata feature? I do not want
to use it in my formulas that reference a pivot table.

don't think you can turn this of. Simply enter the cell reference
manually (without using the mouse to select the cell)

View / Toolbars / PivotTable Toolbar - Look for square icon with a smaller
square in top left corner - Hit it to toggle the feature on/off

Hey stranger, hope all's well :-)
