Get the currently highlighted item in a combobox

Hi,

Access 2003.

Is there a way of getting the highlighted item of a combobox.

I want to change th backcolor of the combobox depending on the current item
begin highlighted.

You mean: change the backcolor as I am scrolling down the dropdown
list? I'm afraid (for you) that's not possible. I am happy (for
users) that's not possible.
Unless you go to extremes and write or fake your own ddl.
