Hi

I've been trying without much success to network pcs together. As part of
this excerise something I've done has caused the login window to appear
(which I've niw got rid of) but when I click on Start > Shut Down - instead
of closing like it used to I now get a box asking if I want to close down,
log in as another user etc. How do I get rid of this?

I'm fairly sure that is the penalty for having created more than one user
AFAIK! Whether there is a workaround, I don't know I'm afraid.

Hi,

Sounds like you have fast user switching enabled. Control
Panel/Users/"change the way users log on and off".

Thanks - just discovered that myself - and it has fixed it.

It would however have saved me a lot of time if when microsoft install
something that changes these settings it swould have been really nice if it
put them back the way they were when you uninstall that program - pretty
elementary I would have thought.
