Get rid of error message: "Can not shift objects off sheet"?

It appears my worksheet may be getting a little too long in Excel - though
I'm only using columns A through HQ at present. Need to be able to finish
out the year - with one column per day. Any chance of that happening? How
do I get Excel to give me more room and ability to hide columns by subtotal
columns as I please without getting this error message?

There are only 256 columns in excel. If you plan on using one each day
you're going to fall short (unless you're doing business days - 251). Unless
you're planning on deleting some columns or combining columns, you're out of
luck. Even when hiding columns, it doesn't give you more columns to work
from. My suggestion would to to flip-flop your database and use rows for
dates.
