? Get Off My Tray

I use a minimize-to-tray utility. Great thing, couldn't do without.

Yet I would also like to have a utility that does the reverse. Its
use would be in order to control those programs who, when you run them,
insist on putting their icons in the system tray instead of the taskbar.

Anyone ever seen a program for this?

If there is no simple utility for this, and a solution would involve
instead something like a serious process manager with a feature to
control those program windows who tray themselves, I'd be interested
in that, too.

Thanks for the reply. I do already use both PCMag's Traymin & Trayman.
You make me realize I should have been more specific, since Trayman
does indeed control tray icons. What I am looking for is something
that would entirely de-tray them, and move them up to the taskbar...

I would be interested to try RBtray but the download links don't seem to
work.

That was fast. While I've used PCMag's util forever and have no reason to
switch, there are available other alternatives, for those who aren't yet
using any minimize-to-tray program.

For instance, Sietse Fliege has recommended RBTray
http://www.geocities.com/rbtray/

And a number of folks around here like Mike Lin's TraySaver

I found it on Yahoo! and the link work. This program is better than Traymin.
Thanks for the recommendation, Karen.

Well, it's really a recommendation from Sietse Fliege. I haven't tried it
yet, but now might eventually take a look. A 27k exe + a 10k dll, that's
attractive.

At present I'm most after whether there exist any tray-to-taskbar utilities..
