like many have posted, my computer has also suffered from this 'generic host
process win32' message that pops up when you're online, and automatically
shuts down the computer in 60 seconds.
most solutions i've read have recommended running virus scanners for the
sasser, blaster, or welchia worm.
the thing is, i have norton antivirus installed on my computer. i run the
live updates frequently (assuming that all the recent virus definations are
in there). i've also used the most recent version of stinger and scanned my
computer, and yet it still shuts down.
is this a xp software issue? are there any patches to correct this?
