General Officer Abbreviations

What service?
Army - Lieutenant Colonel
Air Force - Lieutenant Colonel
Navy – Commander
Marine - Lieutenant Colonel
 
O5 is not a General Grade Officer, it is a Company Grade Officer.

And the abbreviations are:

US Army: LTC
US Air Force:: Lt Col
US Navy: CDR
US Marine Corps: Lt Col
