I am using a nVidia FX 5200 128 MB AGP with my 5381 x64 (bundled drivers)
and I am not experiencing any lock up, I didn't either on 5365. What I would
suggest you do is download the latest drivers available for the February CTP
5308. I was having stability issues on my other desktop and the drivers from
nVidia solved this issue.

Anyone else using ths card that is having problems? I am using build 5365
When using any of the WDDM drivers, my system lags badly (about every 2
seconds the entire OS pauses for a split second) This happens with Aero on
or off and even happens in a full clean boot of Vista with any of the WDDM
Nvidia drivers.

Also, with the WDDM drivers, if I try to download anything from the
internet, the pc locks up completely (cannot even bring up task manager)
Taskinfo shows that 30-35% of the cpu resources are being used for interrupt
requests.

If I install the legacy Nvidia drivers that come with this build all is
well, except of course, no aero.

PC specs are Athlon 2500+ Barton cpu, 512M pc2700 ram, FX5500 128M 8x agp
Nvidia card. Also, a friend of mine using a similar system (Athlon 1800 I
think, 1G ram, and the exact same video card) has the exact same issue.

I use that card except mine has 256 MB and have none of those issues with
Build 5365 or 5381.
In both builds I used the native drivers.

Another possibility is a memory issue.
More likely if you have multiple sticks of memory and they are not
identical.

Nope, it's the video drivers. If I replace them with the legacy versions all
is well, on two computers. I havent tried the native drivers from 5308,
where can I get them? As far as nvidia drivers I have tried 75.03 which
won't initialize (code 37), 87.43, 87.45, and 87.97
The 87.97 drivers had less cpu resources, hovering around 19-20% instead of
35% but the issue is still present.

I'm pretty sure it's not memory because changing the video driver out fixes
the problem (although no aero support on the old drivers) and also, 33% of
the cpu resources are hogged by interrupt requests (which would make me
think the driver isnt behaving properly to be flooding the CPU with IRQ's)
I'm pretty sure that IR's are not handed to ram but rather directly to the
cpu itself from the gpu.

thanks for the replys though. One other thing I have noted...with any of the
above listed video drivers installed, I cannot download any files from the
internet...as soon as the download starts, the system locks solid, cannot
even bring up task manager. This issue also disappears with the older
drivers installed. I'm hopeing that future driver releases will fix the
problem, as I know that Nvidia hasent optimized the drivers yet, and little
to no stability testing.
