But will it beat whatever ATI is shipping by the time motherboards with two
16x slots become available?

This whole "SLI" business (which really isn't SLI) is clearly a marketting
ploy--Intel hasn't even _announced_ chipsets with dual 16x support, let
alone shipped any.

And before anybody says "Tumwater" read the spec sheet--it's got _one_ 16x
and 8 additional lanes--you can't make a 16x port from 8 lanes.
