GDI and/or style sheets got hosed

Hello.
Yesterday my comp BSOD'ed, and when I rebooted IE and anything that uses GDI
does not display correctly anymore. IE has no tables, colors, bborders, or
anything but text showing up on a glaring white background. Products like
Norton Password Manager that use a form of html (but mostly GDI for the
interface) show the same white background with only text visible. The fonts
are all messed up for IE, and depending on what web page I go to, can be
anywhere from size 14 to 32 font. I cant just re-install windows, as I would
lose 2 or more days of work.
Things I have tried are:
Uninstalling IE, re-installing IE.
Windows XP repair.
CheckDisk.
New gdiplus.dll.

I am at my whits end here. Can anyone help me?

Never mind.
XP-Lite took care of the problem.
