funny things happening

when i log on to use my pc after some else has used it everything is larger
than normal.when i go on for the first time after it is switched onthe
background is large and then the screen goes black and i can see some white
lines and it goes back to small.can anyone tell me what the problem is?
thanks for any help you can give me.

It sounds like the other user had the display set to a higher
resolution. MVP Doug Knox has written a utility to allow different
users to have different resolutions.

The XP User Display Settings is under WinXP Utilities, "Keep User
Display Settings".

It seems to also affected your ability to capitalize the first letter of
words at the beginning of sentences, and the adding spaces after the
period of sentences.
