Okay... so how the hell do you play it?

POS encoders who have to use some piss-ass non standard crap. Geez,
the other 20 codecs weren't enough?

It runs no problem, it's a wmv file. Use Windows Media Player.

Funny as hell!! is this for real? This problem i mean? I've seen many
R9800pro/XT or gffx5700/5900 cards with dual even 3fans on chipset. how much
sound do they make?

codecs out there.

I thought it used a standard codec as I've just done a clean XP install and
it ran ok.

okay... downloaded a better codec pak, I guess NIMO isn't cutting it
anymore. KLCodec did the tricks.
