Functions won't update unless "edited"

I have workbooks with "User Defined" functions. On occasion, when I mak
changes in a workbook, cells calling the function return #Value. If
select the cell, click in the edit bar and hit enter the error goe
away and the correct value is displayed.

Problem is not limited to a particular function or worksheet, but mos
often occurs on relatively complex sheets.

Does F9 work? Do you verify that Auto Calc is on rather than Manual?
