functions Left, Mid, Right

Hi,

I'm using a query to create a report. On my computer,
there's no problem at all. On my collegue's computer,
there are problems using the functions Left, Right and
Mid. It's like they don't exist.
It has worked an that computer before, but one day it just
stopped working, and my collegue says he hasn't changed a
thing. He's using W98, I'm using W2000 (upgrade to W2000
is not an option)

Any ideas?

They don't, at the moment, on this computer!

This appears to be the very common References bug. Open any
module in design view, or open the VBA editor by typing
Ctrl-G. Select Tools... References from the menu. One of the
..DLL files required by Access will probably be marked
MISSING. Uncheck it, recheck it, close and open Access.

If none are MISSING, check any reference; close and open
Access; then uncheck it again. This will force Access to
relink the libraries.
