Does anyone know how/why Excel sometimes shows the actual
formula instead of the result?

For example, I have the following formula, and it shows
me the formula and not the results. I would like to show
the results.

=TEXT(F6,"0000")

Thanks!

Hi
you probably have the cell formated as 'Text'. goto 'Format - Cells'
and change the format to 'General'. Re-enter your formula

Unfortuantely, that did not work. We tried that several
times, and even copying format from cells without
problems.

Any other thoughts?

Hi
goto 'Tools - Options - View' and verify that 'Formulas' is NOT checked

That did not work either. As another note, some cells
are ok, and some cells are not ok.
Any other thoughts?

PS. Thanks for all the effort!

Hi
than it should be a formating issue. If you like email me your
spreadsheet and I'll have a look at it

Cell F6 is probably formatted as Text.(the cell you are referencing).
Change its format or do as Aladin has recommended.
