function does not work properly

i created a spreadsheet adding 2 columns together having the sum function in
the 3rd column. when i change a number in column 1 the sum does not update.
i used this worksheet in the past and everything worked fine and all of the
sudden i don't know what i did but the function does not work.
when i try to creat the same scenerio of to the side the same thing happens.
please help what am i missing.

go to tools -> options and calcualtion to set the calculation back to
automatic
