Fun with Forms...

hey all, I am haing a number of problems with a form-

http://www.birminghamchamber.com/business/directories/directories.htm

1-it is not sending the results to e-mail
2-it seems to keep recreating itself as well.

You really don't want to encourage people to pay by credit card on a non secure page.

1. The second form is an "include" page. Not sure how or why.
2. You haven't set the mailto address in the form properties.

There are some bugs in the FP2002 SE related to shared borders & include pages (especially forms) so make sure you (and your host)
see & apply all appropriate patches from:

I re-made the page so that it doesn't use any shared borders or include
pages, and update the address to read mailto:[email protected], but it still
doesn't workk. it does appear however that the _private text file is now
being updated. Any other ideas?

Many browser to do not handle forms being processed via the mailto. If the site is hosted on a
server with the FP extensions and published to the server via http, then you should be able to use
the FP Form Handler, however the host must also enable the email function of the FP extensions.
