I installed XP from an OEM disk (already registered) and have 30 days to activate. I purchased a non-OEM version. Can I register with the new product key?

Greetings --

Product Keys are bound to the specific type and language of
CD/license (OEM, Volume, retail, full, or Upgrade) with which they are
purchased. For example, a WinXP Home OEM Product Key won't work for
any retail version of WinXP Home, or for any version of WinXP Pro, and
vice versa. An upgrade's Product Key cannot be used with a full
version CD, and vice versa. An OEM Product Key will not work to
install a retail product. An Italian Product Key will not work with
an English CD.

Bottom line: Product Keys and CDs cannot be mixed & matched.

Computer has retail XP Pro installed but Product Key is
Retail. Seller has not provided CD or COA which has the
25 character key. Windows XP Pro was activated and 30
days has elasped. How long can place use the computer
with out problems occuring, other than they cannot
install certain Window Components?
