full permission

I just reloaded my wife's computer with xp home... There have been a couple
of instances where she gets a window, permission denied.. I would like to
do away with as much as that as possible.. She's not going to download
viruses, she not going to delete operating system folders..

By the way, she is the only user set up on that pc...

If she's not going to do any of that - why did you not give her an
administrative level account and why did you reload the computer in the
first place? ;-)

If these windows are when you try to access information from the system
before the clean installation (on another partition/drive) - perhaps you
need to take ownership of those files/folders with that account.
