With Frontpage2003 do I need to use an FTP software to upload a file to my
website? Or does Frontpage include that feature?

Yes, it does.
Or at least FP2002 does, so I assume 2003 does also.

I use FP to upload to a FTP site. It is a setting somehwere - I can't
remember where; it was a case of "set and forget" as I only upload to the
one site.

FP2003 includes FTP just like the rest.

Yes it includes FTP, but you need to publish via HTTP: if you use the
frontpage server extensions - many of frontpages features
use them (in fact most do). There are very few you can get away with using
without the FPSE.

The FTP option is available from File > Publish Site....

Just choose the "FTP" radio button and put in the ftp address to your site.

Otherwise use the http: method and put in the full url to your site
including the 'http://' and the 'www'.
