FTP server access from win 2000 proffessional desktop

Hi

I am unable to access a Linux FTP server from win2k
machines.

I can login, but can not execute any of the FTP commands.

But everything is OK if I am trying from Linux desktop.


Pls help.

What does "can not" mean? Do you get an error? Try entering REMOTEHELP to
get a list of commands from the server.

Try using a GUI ftp client from Windows using passive mode. If it works then
you know that passive mode support, the lack of it, is most likely the
problem. If that's the case and you need commandline access to the client
then look at ws_ftp which I believe has a scriptable commandline client or
the Cygwin ftp client.
