FTP problems

I am running IE6 and cannot download any files from a ftp
site on some workstations on our campus. I can download
from my computer, but I have WS_FTP Pro installed and it
is used when downloading from ftp sites. I have checked
all of the advanced settings in IE for differences, but
could not find any. I sure could use some help on this
one.

I have what I think is the same problem with FTP sites. I can't download Adobe Acrobat, for instance. I'm running Explorer 6.0 with XP.
