FTP PASV connection thru DSL Router

Since changing over from dialup to ADSL using Optusnet Speedstream 4200 modem
I am unable to use the FTP passive connection between the Net and my PC.
I receive error message 425 (Unable to build data connection. Software
caused connection abort).
It is ok when I use the PORT or Standard mode.
I suspect it is caused by settings in the DSL Modem which is set to Optus
Bridge mode.
I am running XP2 and IE

Fixed it . Had to change the mode in the router to NAPT instead of OPTUS
BRIDGE.
