Hello everybody

My question concerns ftp issues but not so complicated.

In some computers in our company when you type
ftp.microsoft.com in the Address textbox automatically you
can see the folders contained in the site and the
option "Log in As" when you click the File menu.

In my explorer i don't have this option and neither the
Web folders view.

Another thing probably related is that in the Advanced
options there isn't any check box for me to enable FfTP
folders view. What is wrong with my IE 6.0 (in Win NT)

Thank you for your help in advance.

I am running XP Pro,

Me too! ;)
I do not have "log in as" as an option under the FILES menu?
(I am at an FTP site when I look for this).

I just did a test with the following file

<example>
ftp://ftp.isi.edu/in-notes/rfc2617.txt
</example>

If I go to that page directly I don't see the Login As... menu item.

However, if I go to it by first entering

<example>
ftp://ftp.isi.edu/
</example>

and then navigating to that file, I do. The menu item is available
as long as the window is in folder mode. E.g. window and Address bar
icons are both for web folders and Folder Tasks bar appears on left
(unless some other Explorer bar overlays it.)
