For many long years I have not been using an extra FTP-client.
I'm doing all my FTP-things with "Total Commander" (ex Windows
Commander)
www.ghisler.com
my standard file-manager (Explorer sitting on charity <g>).
It's good for at least 1001 things and I call it "my Swiss Army Knife"
<gbg>.

You may download the fully functional shareware which comes with a
rather tame nagging splash screen.
The price for the license is USD 34.- . And it's worth that for sure.

Use Vista's built in FTP client just right click anywhere in the right
pane of "Computer" and select "Add a Network Location" then follow the
wizards

I use FileZilla. It has a lot of features, it works in Vista, doesn't
need to be installed, and it's free.

I have WS_FTP95.exe (aka WS_FTP LE) working fine on Home Premium.
