FrontPage2003 search component

I am trying to add a Search text box to an existing page on my website. The
search box appears ok, but when I try a search, it returns "The page cannot
be found."
The url of the error page is:
http://www.roselle.lib.il.us/_vti_script/search.htm0.idq
Does that give any clue as to what the problem is?
Originally, the text box did not even appear on the page; I just realized
that I had to "Recalculate Hyperlinks" and now it appears, so it is
altogether possible that I have just neglected to do some simple thing...
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
(the server has 2002 extensions installed)

Thanks for your reply Stephan.
My host says Index Catalog is enabled, but a search still produces the same
error.
:(
Any other suggestions?

Open the live site directly in FP and run Tools | Recalculate Hyperlinks.

Also has the host created a index catalog for your site?

thanks for the suggestions Thomas.
We have done both of these things; I have run "Recalculate Links..." and my
host assures me that an index catalog has been created.
Still getting an error page...
Any other suggestions?

2 things for the host, check to be sure under IIS MMC that the site is set to be indexed, and they
may want to delete and recreate the catalog.

Other than that, suggest you try the posting to the Index Server newsgroup.

Thanks so much for all of your input - Finally got it working!! Pretty much.
The Search function works -- I don't know what the host did (???), but now
it works :), but there is still a teeny, tiny glitch.
The Reset button does not clear the search field. You can over-type the
info, but not "Reset" the field.
Any suggestions for that???

Thanks (again!) in advance.

I have the same problem but unfortunaly I can't ask an Administrator. I'm
trying to set up the search page in a customer forum on our own server
(windows SBS 2003, IIS6) and I get still the same message "The page can not
be found". What is it that I'm doing wrong. If I'm looking on the Properties
page for my web site under "Home Directory" it tells me "Index this resource"
is enabled.

Yes I did and after several hours finding some solutions and answers, reading
lots of articles on the web and playing around with my server finally I
solved the problem. What I did wrong, I guess, was first of all I didn't add
the the directory from my location to the indexing service. Second I tried to
publish my web site local and third I used a unassigned IP address what
resulted in some errors accessing the search result. Now it seems to be ok.
Thank you anyway for your quick answer. I appreciate this.
