How can I get Frontpage to open a webpage (my own
website!)... in frontpage, the "web settings" button
under "tools" is grayed out (I have admin priveleges),
yet Frontpage is my default HTML editor... Thanks..

Clean out your temporary internet files and history files and see what
happens.

Thanks... I'm not sure what you mean by "outside the
web", but I haven't opened this page, on this computer
before. Also, I used to be able to use FRONTPAGE to look
at any web page, but it isn't an option anymore...

Hi,

I am a little confused as to how you are trying to open this page. If it is
a page on the Internet somewhere..and you want to look at it..there's a
couple ways.

If you are browsing a page with IE and want to use the "Edit" Icon..and that
is grayed out..try following Tom's advice about clearing the temporary
internet and history files and it hopefully will appear again.

Also if you are on a page, you could always do a File | Save as HTML

you may need to change the 'associations' with the file types since html pages
normally are associated with web browsers, not GUI web editors.

I think you right click the file and there should be an option 'Open With' or
'Associate file' or someting like that, select the option, another dialogue opens
with a list of installed applications on your machine - choose Frontpage as the
default editor for the file type (i.e. HTML/HTM/ASP etc).
