Now Garry S. Terhune said I should ask if I can post this link, I have a frontpage site that homepage takes a long time to load, I have many photos so if you want to help post back, and I will add the link.

Yes, this is taking far too long to load .... even with a satellite
connection. You must try to keep the weight of your page at no more than 60
kb. You must have far exceeded that. Have you optimized all your images in
your image editing program. I can't wait any longer for it to load. Cut it
way down in size and then ask us to look again. Probably best not to be
hosted by tripod. It's trying to 'looking up view atdmt.com' whatever that
is??? Then my browser was frozen. Start over!! You surely can't run funny
videos from your home page.

E.T.,

Where did you come up with 60 KB? That seems very low.

I've read that that is a good goal in several places ... this ng as well as
the Dreamweaver ng. I don't happen to stick to it myself but try to never go
over 100 kb for a client's home page. Many others in my own site are larger
.... because it is almost all about my photography. I use a lot of
thumbnails.

Thanks, I am not that good w/ fp yet and don't know how to opp. the pics
yet.

I've always thought that the 62kb limit is a leftover from the days of using Notepad and its 62kb
file size limit, to create html pages / documents.
