I have a Slide Show and also have background music on "forever"/continuous
play. BUT, whenever I select a picture in Slide Show the music shut off! I
have moved the code for the background sound(music)from top to bottom, but it
does no good. Is there an EXPERT out there, somewhere, who knows the
solution to this problem/dilemma?

I would greatly appreciate your thoughts... thanks!

Is your slide show opening a pop up window or opening in a frame??

Steve:

I'm not a FrontPage "power-user," only one who bumbles along. I get into
the code only out of necessity, and guts. I use logic, not knowledge of the
code. As far as whether the slide show is opening a pop up window, or
opening a frame, I'm not sure exactly what you're asking. I have created a
new page, but I did not specify "frames" -- and all I did was double-click on
the Photo Gallery option in the lower portion of the page, and add the pics
and specify Slide Show under the Layout tab. I then went to Format,
Background, General, entered the sound Location, and then Checked Forever.

The Photo Gallery works. The background music plays, that is until I select
a pic in the Slide Show! As I mentioned, I've moved the code from the top to
the bottom, but once a pic is clicked, the music stops playing.

I hope that I didn't put that in words that make me sound too much like a
complete dummy.

Thanks for your patience and understanding... need your help, that's for sure!

probably because the music is set for the initial page, and when you click
another picture thumbnail, it links to a picture on a separate page (that doesn't
have the music set).

You possibly need to learn a little more about frontpage, and investigate using
frames. Set the background music in the 'frameset' page, then it will run
continuously, while the content (photo gallery presentation/slideshow) will run
without interrupting the music.

Many folks may leave your site immediately if they have no control over the
sound~~~~

The only way to have sound play as folks move between pages (image) is that the sound file must
either be load in a popup window or a frameset.

Ok you answered the question. When you open the image in an "New window" the window contain the
music "loses focus" therefore the music stops. To have the music continue, use a frames page and
have the image open in a frame within the main page.
