Have just installed Office 2007 Beta and notice that Frontpage is a notable
omission. What is the future of Frontpage or has it morphed into a differet
product?

FrontPage is not available in Office 2007. It was not available in Office
2003. In previous versions of Office, FP was only available in certain
Office versions.
