FrontPage 2k3 doesn't show same files as Explorer in local web

I have encountered two problems:

1) FP2k3 does not show the same files in the local web as does Explorer

2) I discovered this "feature" because I was publishing from my local web to
my website and saw FP2k3 messages indicating that files on the web existed
that did not exist on my local web. It asked me if I wanted to delete them
from the remote web.

Has anyone experienced this problem?
 
Some files are hidden - the ones preceded with an underscore like _vti_.....
etc. or the _borders folder, _themes etc.

These are viewable in Windows explorer. But they shouldn't be messed with
hence the reason they are hidden in FP.

They will be published if/when needed.

The "unmatched" files (asking you to delete a file if it doesn't exist in
the other location) problem is not actually a problem - it is a feature, by
design.
