frontpage 2003 shuts down when I try to insert a hyperlink.

Every time I highlight a word on a page, click Insert Hyperlink and then
click the page I want FrontPage 2003 shuts down and restarts. Before shutting
down Windows tells me that the program encounted a problem and needs to
restart. Windows attempts to find a solution before shuuting down, but
doesn't.

I am using FrontPage 2003 and Windows Vista Premium. I have 4 gigs of ram
and 1.8 ghtz core two duo cpu.

I reinstalled the program with the same result and downloaded all available
updates.

It's a known issue in Vista and hopefully there's a fix coming soon.
It seems to be a random issue, because
I've tried every way possible to reproduce it in my Vista Ultimate install and can't.

The only thing I can think to try that might help is
Rune regedit and go here:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\

See if there's a Valuename in the right panel named:

UseCaseInsensitivePathForHyperlink

if so delete it.
also go here:
HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Common
and see if there's a Valuename:

AllowConsecutiveSlashesInUrlPathComponent

if so delete it

Close regedit,
Then open FrontPage and see if anything has changed.

But I really don't think it will.

Thanks, I'll try your suggestions. Do you know if Microsoft is working on a
solution?

MS is aware of it, and is working on a fix. However, we don't know when.
