How do a change the color of the text which identifies the links?
Highlighting and formatting doesn't do this.

Many thanks from a novice.
 
Actually it does. However if they are links you have clicked to check them out, they are considered
"visited" by the browser and will always show the "visited" color.

Delete your temporary internet, cookie and history files and then take a look at them.
