Frontpage 2000 closes

I attempted to create a new web making it part of my
exiting web. Nothing happened.

Now the only way I can open the web is if it is through
the automatically open last web or recent webs. I cannot
open a web via the File-Open Web. I also cannot save a
page to the open web.

In both cases, frontpage just closes.

Can anyone point me to the problem, and a solution.
 
Have you tried running the detect and repair from the help menu?
