Hello,

Hope you can help. I installed Front Page 2000 on my new computer and it
installed just fine. But now everytime I try to click save, it gives me the
message that an error has occurred and Front Page will shut down and I lose
all my changes. Anyone have any suggestions of what I can try. I know I
can try upgrading to 2003 but don't have the money right now. 2000 has
worked fine for me for the last three years on my old computer, but the
error message on my new computer is making me nuts. Can't make any changes
to my sites at all.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try the usual repairs
1) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all FP Temp Files
2) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all hidden *.web files
3) In Windows Explorer Find and delete the file CMDUI.PRF
4) Disable or Uninstall any FP Addins
5) Run a Repair / Reinstall on FP & IE
6) Install all Service Packs for your OS, IE, and MS Office

Thought it might help to give you the exact message it's giving me. It
says:

"Microsoft FrontPage application file has encounterd a problem and needs to
close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. If you were in the middle of
something, the information you were working on might be lost."

Then it asks me to send/don't send error report and when I click either
button, Front Page closes. Sure makes it tough to update any of my webs.

Any suggestions? Help Please!

Oh, and I tried reinstalling Front Page 2000 but the CD player won't even
read the disc now and it's a good disc, well taken care of since I purchased
it. And the computer is brand new (and by the way, I do NOT like Windows
XP...would love to have Windows 2000 or even 98 on this new computer
instead).

You can select the Classic Desktop which is very similar to Windows 98 / 2000
