Front Page 2000 Publishing problem

I am using Front Page 2000 on Windows 2000 professional.
When I try to publish my web I get the error
message "server Error: Error 2 opening registry key -
softwar\microsoft\shared tools\web server
extensions\ports\port 80". I have the knowledge base
article 264951 that describes this exact problem but the
solutions do not work. Some of the resolutions are not
even available to me such as step 1 and step 4. Or I
cannot find them.

I tried downloading all the updates for Front Page and
2000 but still no luck.

Help! It worked before and I do not know why it is not
now.

Are you publish to your server or a remotely hosted server? If remotely hosted, then the problem is
at the host, not your local.

Yes it is a remote server. I guess because it never asked
for my password I thought it would be local to my system.

I will contact them to see what they say.
