from outlook to access

This is mainly a general type question regarding the use of outlook 2007 and
access 2003. I know it is possible to send an email from access using
outlook. But, I am wondering if the email that is sent out can have a link
in it that the recipient could click on and be taken directly to the access
record the link in the email is referring to? Is it possible to do that?
How would the link need to look like for it to work? Are there any
examples/samples of an action such as that?
Thank you for your time.

since no one is talking, here's my 2 cents:

1st I'd think twice abot how heavily you want to integrate Outlook07 and
Access03. (i just smell version conflicts)

2nd to open an MSA app to a form and to a record would involve creating one
or more variarables in Outlook that are visible to Access (so when MSA
launches it can look for those Vars and open the right form and record.) I
think they are "Public" vars, and you have to be very careful how you name
them.

I had to do the exact oposite once, open a custom outlook Calendar form to
the right appointment from MSA, but that was in msa 2k. and may not apply.

However (and I haven't tried this at all) but I know that newer MSA offers
several ways to serve access apps as *web pages*. then all your email
message has is a link to a webpage and a bunch of parameters. (and the
recipent doen't even need MSA)

just a thought

Roger, thanks for your 2 cents. I'm informing the higher ups that we will
need to wait until office 2007 is rolled out later this year before thinking
along these lines between outlook and access. Althougth, the email sending
with no links from access 2003 to outlook 2007 shouldn't be and issue and can
proceed.
Thanks again for responding.
