Freezing Panes

I'm trying to freeze row 1 on my spreadsheet. Excel continues to freeze row 8
instead of 1. I've unfrozen the entire document, highlighted row 1, clicked
"freeze panes" in the Window drop down menu, and it still freezes row 8. What
am I doing wrong?

If you want the top row to always show
unfreeze>put cursor on cell a2>freeze

If you want to freeze Row 1, select row 2 and then Windows>Freeze Panes
