freeze

Hi I would like to know how can I freeze the first column and first line at
same time

I need the first line to freeze and the first colunm. But when I go to cel
1A and click freeze..it freeze 6 lines....and the screen get very limited to
navigate

You have two problems. First you probably have Windows Split set at
the 6th row, so clear any splits.
Second you must put your cursor in cell B-2 inorder to freeze column A
and row 1.

Terry,

If you want to freeze the first row and the first column, you should be in
cell B2 when you Freeze Panes. Try that and see if it makes a difference.
 
Select B2 and Window>Freeze Panes.

The rule for freezing is.........rows above and columns left of the selected
cell will be frozen.
