freeze up with screen saver

I heard there was a download to solve my problem but can't find one

Everytime my pc starts the screen saver or goes in stand by mode it freezes up. I uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them but it only worked for a few hours. Just wondering if anyone has any idea what I can do.

push the eject button from the cd rom drive to see if XP un-freezes itself.

Try another screen saver.

I had a similar kind of problem wherein My notebook was hanging when I try to put it in stand by mode.

I changed the screen saver and it worked , here is info I got from some forum on net.. Hope this helps
