Freeware Win Registery Fixer for XP?

Might be simple but having search the net for so-called Free Windows
Registery Fixers but having installed them, I get the usual "Give us cash
because we've found XX problems on your PC but won't fix them until you do"
:-(
A simple checker similar to the ones on the net that fixes any problems as
I'm not sure on deleting registery stuff personally!
I've tried 5 on the net and most have reported over 108 to 127 problems!
(Not sure if a lot of these are *fake* problems being reported to scare us
into buying their software?)

Can anyone point me to a proper freeware version jsut to to check these
problems picked up by the pay-for programs are correct?

Used RegCleaner for years without issue ....... and it's 100% freeware.

I have had no problem with CCleaner

Some have liked DustBuster
http://www.casperize.com/dustbuster/dust_en.htm . Be aware this program
has no user configuration input. It cleans what it cleans. Can be a
little scary to watch.
