Freeware that works with OpenOffice???

Does anyone know good freeware that works with OpenOffice? Since a short
time i work with OO. The most programs are only working together with
MsOffice.

So, now i'm interested in OO - apps, like a good dms who can read the ods
format.
Can you help me complete the list?
* Google Desktop can search OO-docs with a plugin
* ZipGenius treats OO-docs as Zip files

= they are zip files if I understand well
